    This interesting book defines convergence culture with chapters on Survivor, American Idol, The Matrix, Star Wars, and Harry Potter, all showing how media consumers are becoming active participants in the creation of texts. It's a strong argument for an emphasis on media literacy in schools as well as for adults to whom many of the electronic platforms are foreign (or even abhorrent).
