It seems that she listened to the fans too much. Its storyline was wordy, circling, and relatively predictable. Was hoping for much more.

      **SPOILERS!!!***
Well I was not expecting a completely new facet like the Deathly Hallows. I figured as the final book, she wouldn't be introducing something so new and big into the plot.

      Things I got right:
-I knew somethin' bad was going to happen at Bill's wedding.
-I expected the final battle would be at Hogwarts.
-Ron and Hermione's hook up (duh)
-I knew Neville would have some real part in Voldemort's death.
-I figured out the RAB thing.
-I figured out the Diadem and Room of Requirement thing.

      Things I got wrong:
      -I thought Harry might die.
      -I expected Snape to live.
-I thought Dumbledore would guide Harry through his portrait in the Headmaster's office.
-I really didn't expect that Harry wouldn't come back to Hogwarts for his final year.
-Yes, I was very shocked about the Snape and Lily thing. Never expected that.
-I really really really expected Mrs Norris was an animagus. (drat!)

OH, and for your second question:

I was one of the fans who did enjoy it, however I have two disappointments in it. (1) Voldemort’s death felt slightly anticlimactic. After all of that buildup, one expelliarmus spell does him in? I understand that it is fitting, especially after the mention that it had become Harry’s trademark of sorts, and the fact that once again, it was his own rebounding killing curse that was his undoing… but I did find myself thinking, “That’s it?”

      (2) I hated the final chapter. Sure, JKR wanted us to get an idea of how Harry’s life panned out post-Voldemort, but it was so lamely done. Okay we get that a bunch of them got married and had kids, but that’s ALL she’s going to tell us? I would have rather she either cut the chapter completely and left our imaginations to decide what happened after the story, or put something more interesting in that final chapter. Did Harry become an auror? Did George go on with the shop without Fred? What wolfie traits did Teddy exibit? Did Harry get back in contact with the Dursleys? I felt her just telling us that they were married with children was uninteresting and unsatisfying. However, for those of us who are true fans, we've answered these questions by badgering JKR herself. I guess I can kinda understand why she only talked about the family and love stuff, because the whole point of the series is that love is the most powerful force and, as JKR says, it takes a lot of courage to pick up your life and make a family. She calls it heroic. I've come to terms with why she wrote the final chapter that way, but upon first reading, I did NOT like it at all.

There. Have I rambled enough for you? ;)
