New Moon

In New Moon, Stephenie Meyer delivers another irresistible combination of romance and suspense with a supernatural twist. The "star-crossed" lovers theme continues as Bella and Edward find themselves facing new obstacles, including a devastating separation, the mysterious appearance of dangerous wolves roaming the forest in Forks, a terrifying threat of revenge from a female vampire and a deliciously sinister encounter with Italy's reigning royal family of vampires, the Volturi. Passionate, ... (show more)

It's a hit!

New Moon in my opinion is the most depressing book of the series. Every time I read this book, it seems like I am depressed until I finish it. In t... (show more)

No, it's a flop!

Bella and Edward's relationship went from meeting to endless impossible co-dependence in an instant. It's a bit gross, and not a great message for,... (show more)

This may possibly be the only book I'll ever encounter in which a chain of events is triggered by the protagonist's getting a paper cut. (Apparently the tiniest droplet of blood is just too tempting for certain "vegetarian" vampires. Time to leave town, Cullens!)

I wish that Bella were written as a more interesting character. I find it difficult to believe that in Edward's 100-plus years of life she's the best thing he's encountered. Bella's primary skill is her ability to cook, ... (show more)

"Oh god, something please, please happen!" I kept telling myself while reading Bella's paranoia sprawled across page after page of this longer, less action-packed version of the first book. So this one introduced werewolves into the mix. Imagine Underworld without the action, without the fine females, without being dark and spooky, and with even less dialog--just a post-pubescent girl telling you, telling you, and telling you some more about her irrational worries that (spoiler al... This was the one book in the series that I really disliked. Don't get me wrong, there where good parts in it, but overall, the lack of Edward's presence made this a huge let down for me. And as for Jacob, well lets put it this way, he went from being like a Nat you wave away with your hand to a fly you're chasing with the fly swatter.

I absolutely loved this series. Edward and Bella's romance is beautiful. That is what love is all about. They loved each other beyond anything else. I would recommend this book to everyone. I just read Host which is by the same author. Loved that book as well.

This was possibly one of the worst books I have ever read. It was PAINFUL to read.

This book where it may be a bit slower than Twilight on the Edward front it is essential to the rest of the story. Jacobs character is developed a lot more along with Bella's understanding of the Quileute Tribe.

Very good and sad at the same time. I like how you learn more about Jacob and the wolves. Even though I am all about Edward.
