Misogynistic, crude and demeaning, this book describes how every adolescent boy/man thinks...until he has daughters of his own. It is at times funny, at times unnecessary and at other times simply boorish.
It's not Family Guy funny, but if you have an hour and want something outlandish but funny to read, then this could be your book. However, if Stintson was not worried about being self-serving, he would have added that "Bro's" wouldn't pick up a book for any purpose other than: needing an emergency coaster, to throw at another bro or to make a chick think he's intellectual. You guessed it. I didn't make the "Bro" cut.
For full disclosure, I didn't read this. I listened to the audiobook. I imagine the experience would have been less satisfying without having it read to me by Doogie Howser. Neal Patrick Scott reading about "Bro's" brought back memories of his priceless part in Undercover Brother.
I can say that this is the first time that an audiobook was better than the content of the printed book due to who was doing the reading. (show less)
