Does anyone else think Harry Potter 7 was rubbish?
i think that HP7 was the best. Pay attention to it, and you'll understand it. Some people hate it because he wasn't at Hogwarts until the end. The books aren't about Hogwarts they were about HARRY. I thought that there was goinging to be more death. i thought that would've made it better. I thought there was gonna be an all out battle with much more people. 54 deathes for the Order doesn't sound that big.
THIS BOOK OWNED! IF YOU DIDN'T LIKE IT...........SCREW YOU!!!!!!!!

Ajith Nair about 1 year agoit wasn't about hogwarts you dumbass it was about harry potter. thats why its called that
Dillon about 1 year agoOH MY GOD THANK YOU.
Yeah, and this is coming from a HUGE fan's viewpoint but I was very very disappointed. Deathly Hallows was by far my least favorite of the series and I was very disappointed and confused concerning the choices that Rowling made for some of the characters. I have NO idea where she was going with Lupin as a character (that is before she ridiculously killed him and Tonks off for no reason in the end-as I believe they should have been used as another symbol for a new generation rather than for the carnage that Voldemort brought upon the wizarding world) and she killed a ridiculous amount of people that really didn't need to be killed. I understand the need to show how destructive Voldemort is, but some of it was just unnecessary. And were the Deathly Hallows really so important that they deserved the title? I honestly didn't think so. It just seemed like something she threw in at the last minute. All of it was SO very different than the tone and themes of the last six. Seems very rushed to me. She left SO much unanswered (like MANY things in the Department of Mysteries including the black veil) and instead went into depth about what seemed like unimportant topics. I was very amazed that she didn't end the series more gracefully. And don't even get me started on that ridiculous epilogue.
Stephanie about 1 year agoI think all of you HP 7 naysayers are either just trying to stir up a controversy that doesn't exist, or, more likely, you've missed the entire point of the series.
Todd Hamilton about 1 year agoit was rubbish! but then again jk rowling is not a good writer, she doesnt hav a very distinctive writing style, the only thing that she managed successfully was putting in all the twists. the whole series are really bland and they get no emotion out of the reader, she really shuld develop her writing style before even attempting to write another book.
Laveen about 1 year agoAgreed.
Facebook User about 1 year agoi really don't care what any one thinks, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was the BEST book in the series, there are so many small details and deeper meanings in it, and you really have to have payed attention to the entire series to understand it. it shows you more in depth stories about the characters and makes you care about everyone and enerything thats happening and i LOVE it. no matter what
Judith about 1 year agoFunny how for someone who's not that crazy about HP, it got you to sniff through seven volumes of "trash". Guess you like the smell of your own fart too, huh?
Jatz about 1 year agothank you judy,
Facebook User about 1 year agoat least someone who is actually worthy to say something about the book. i also think it´s the best book in the series. i can see why some people are pissed off, as the style of rowling did change throughout the series, but as far as i can say, it changed for the better! since the third book it got more or less a story for adults.
about the many deaths: voldemort is the darkest wizard of all times. what the hell do people think about that? should he be nice? of course there have to be so many deaths, so the reader can actually see why the people in the fictional world are always so scared to think back to the old times when voldemort was strong for the first time.
and yes: the story does make sense, totally... no one has to love the book, but there have been many stupid replies here of people who didn´t seem to understand the story at all
I agree. Harry was supposed to be this amazing wizard but they kept making him do the same stuck all over again. And Hermoine was built up so high and she did not really get to use her powers very much.
Echo about 1 year agoWhat is going on here??? people shouldn't be getting nasty and personal...
all you people who seem to hate it... bet you all read it and have read all the previous ones - its like watching star trek and then saying hmmm that wasn't realistic at all!!!
Harry Potter does what it says on the tin... I didn't think it was a masterpiece but it was fun and shouldn't be taken so seriously;I liked it any way and went to Tescos at midnight to buy it.
Amanda about 1 year agoharry potters' character grew with every book and the story increased in complexity. naturally the first 3 books were fun and light as he was a child, but as harry gained experience and voldermort gained more and more strength the situation became darker and serious. i found the 7th book quite realistic. i had friends who complained about harry even in the 6th book, that he became paranoid and weird. but a real character subjected to such immense pressures was bound to show side effects. whereas the story line of the 7th book was definetly more realistic than a 'WWII' ending a colleague commentator was expecting.
Eliza about 1 year agoI read this discussion and it is clear to me that not everyone here actually read the book properly..
Lokesjwari about 1 year agoI think HP 7 is great. ALL the questions get good explanations and answers. All little things matter. One of my favorite is Kreacher! He lead houseelves fighting! I think it is so funny and touching. :) And JKR knows how to build shy, lack of self confidence, underestimated neville, to be a brave and tough and so grifindor that he is the one who is able to get the grifindor sword from the shorting hat. Many people make fun of him and he himself thought that he is not belong to Grifindor, right? In the first book, when slytherin trio cursed him. Harry gave him a frog chocolate and that what makes Harry realized who Nicholas Flame was.. :)
HP 7 is great! I personally say it is genius.
My only question for this book is: Book 5 said that Tonk's father is a muggle! But he is a wizard now.. :D
Bless... every litlle helps, doesn't it?
Jatz about 1 year agoas for the first part of your reply the first four books are quite okay.the fifth, sixth, and seventh are rubbish.I read last two books because at that time I had only those available. Now regarding the second part of your message:You deserve only one reply"Go and fuck yourself"
Ajith Nair about 1 year agoTruly complete tripe. The epilogue was a total wash. Voldemort should have won, or he and Harry should have mutually crippled each other and been forced to live out the rest of their days in a sub-par American rest home.
Rob about 1 year agoEeww, witty... that's bit better though, macha. Now you don't sound too much of a pompous twat.
Jatz about 1 year agoHarry Potter and The Prolonged Camping Trip. Seriously this book was very boring during most of it and I was really disappointed. I don't think this was her bet work because she knew millions of people were still going to buy it so I feel like this book was written lazily. Also, she just decided to kill as many people as possible before it ended. Ok, the people can die because or else it would've been way too perfect of an ending, but Hedwig!? Absolutely no point in killing Hedwig.
Rebecca Huss about 1 year agoSince the prophecy said "and either must die at the hand of the other,.." I would've rather seen Harry and Voldemort both die. And then Hermione and Ron could've named their kids "Harry Tom Wesley" instead of whatever other ridiculous names they had.
hear hear
