8th book coming out maybe?
I heard somewhere that JK Rowling is writing an 8th Harry Potter novel, about Harry's adventures as an adult. Any one with any other information about it?

She claims that she will not do another book about harry potter, that if she continues in this series it will not be about harry but remember she has lied to us before so who knows I think if the money is good enough she will do it

Facebook User about 1 year ago"Beedle the Bard" is coming out in the beginning of December. You can preorder through Borders which is where I heard about it. It is written by Rowling and I believe it follows the characters as they grow.

Leigh about 1 year agoactually i think "beedle the bard" is the compilation of children's stories that hermione is given by dumbledore in his will. i think this book is along those lines with pictures and everything.
Sadie about 1 year agoI quite agree and I doubt it will be near enough interesting. Though I have heard that she plans to come out with an encyclopaedia of sorts on Harry Potter. Anyone has any idea?

Usana about 1 year agoAfter the catastrophically pathetic and boring ending, with harry living a complacently non-exciting married life, I think an 8th book has got to be a big no-no!
Juhi about 1 year agoShe is considering writing a whole nother series, not based on Harry at all. It will still be of the wizarding world, but with a whole nother set of characters.

Madalyn about 1 year agoI know "Beedle the Bard" is coming out, but I heard rumors that she may write a book about James Potter (Harry's Dad) when he was young. She did write a short (I'm talking postcard size, front and back) prequel to Harry Potter that was published in a short story postcard book in the U.K. Other authors for this book included Neil Gaiman. I have no idea what is going to happen next. I am sure some Harry Potter related books are on the way. There is already a cool official trivia book that came out that you can get on amazon.com.

Julia about 1 year agoJK is definitely not writing another book. Hate to rain on everyone's parade...but she's not. She wants to spend time with her kid and stuff. She did say she MAY write a couple other books, but no more actual HP books.
Beetle and Bart. Get with the program. :P First off, if you'd read the seventh book, the 'Deathly Hallows' is part of the Beetle and Bart tales. Then, you could just google and find out, it has little to do with HP. Sorry. :P
James Androstic about 1 year agoThe Beedle on the Bard is a collection of "Magical" nursery rhymns from Potter world. They are used in the 7th book as reference to the Elder wand etc. It is being released as a supplement. I did hear however that she may write a book called the History of Hogwarts... but as already said, who knows what she will do.
Facebook User about 1 year agoSorry to double post... in addition, there has been some fan books based on harry potter that have been written, two of them have been released as E-books and can be downloaded. They are called James Potter and the Hall of Elder's Crossing, and James Potter and the Curse of the Gate Keeper... they are based on Harry's kid when he is at Hogwarts.
Facebook User about 1 year agothe story is done! I'm the biggest Harry Potter fan I know and I'd be pretty sad to see JKR stoop and make another one. Beedle the Bard is fine and so is the encyclopedia. Another novel.....bluuurg

Facebook User about 1 year agoI felt the seventh novel really concluded the series for me. I felt closure and comfort.
I hope JK Rowling does contiue writing, but I think it would be wrong to continue with the Harry Potter series. Maybe if there are a new group of lead characters and Harry is a mentor in the backgroung or something, that could work. But she should be very careful trying drag out any more from Harry and his friends after she so neatly sewed everything up.
