Very entertaining! I read this before starting med school, part of what made me want to become a doctor.
Pretty funny, different from what I was expecting. A quick read. London has a dry, witty, and intelligent sense of humor.
My college roommate gave me this book as a gift before I left for medical school. I remember it being a light read at the time. As I near the end of my residency, I recall little else about the book or its parables. Contrast this to the continued impact of "The House of God".
This is an excellent book for someone going into medicine. It relates stories from a seasoned physician that give anecdotes that may help save a patient's life. I enjoyed it. It is a short, light read.
I didn't think this was that great.
The excerpt sounds intriguing....
